The Marketing & Support Administrative Assistant’s responsibility is to provide support to the Marketing and Participant Support Departments in the areas of administration and general operations. Priorities may shift between departments in response to trends in seasonal demands and deadlines throughout the year.

 

The primary responsibilities of the Marketing & Support Administrative Assistant is to:

  • Assist with the development and implementation of national and local marketing initiatives
  • Audit and update Help & Learning Marketing section with new materials & resources for volunteers
  • Collect marketing requests from volunteers and work with the Marketing team to fulfill
  • Process volunteer marketing materials orders, keep track of inventory, and keep Shopify site updated
  • Process and upload student audio files
  • Review and approve student biographies
  • Support Marketing team in collecting content for blogs, social media, and email campaigns
  • Alumni, host family, and student interviews as requested
  • Website updates as assigned by Marketing team
  • Perform ad-hoc analytical projects
  • Organize digital files and tracking documents
  • Medical bill processing/management
  • General support administrative tasks
  • Answering and fielding calls via the Emergency Support Line
  • Managing lower-level Support Cases

 

 

EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:

The average work week is 35 hours.

 

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, English, or related field
  • 1-2 years’ experience working in marketing, sales, customer service, or related field
  • Experience working in a volunteer-based environment preferred
