Overview

The full time position is primarily responsible for the workflow coordination of AAIDD’s SIS training programs. Duties include communicating with staff that contract training deliverables are consistently met and performing a variety of essential administrative processes with a high degree of accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Training coordination, including monitoring contract deliverable schedules, assuring that deadlines are met, coordinating training schedules, and engaging in day-to-day problem solving with the Training Manager related to the SIS training program.
  • Communication and outreach, including ensuring the regular, timely, and accurate correspondence and other communications with staff, consultants, and external clients, and reviewing SIS webpages for accuracy and current, updated information.
  • Training record extensions, including contributing to the development of customized training proposals, and informational, promotional, and other resource materials.
  • Record maintenance, including but not limited to the collection and maintenance of training program activity data and customer electronic training records.
  • Monitor and utilize various online platforms to ensure that SIS training projects proceed efficiently along the path to completion.
  • Contribute to an integrated, effective, flexible, and accountable team environment.
  • Travel to and participate in conferences, meetings, and training events as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and two year’s work experience relevant to the position.
  • Excellent oral, organizational, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to plan, multi-task and manage time effectively.
  • Experience working with databases to track and maintain training records and documents.

 Essential Skills

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects, tasks, and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Ability to operate a personal computer and utilize Microsoft Office and a variety of web-based software programs at an acceptable rate of accuracy and speed.
  • Ability to analyze and organize information.
  • Ability to produce clear written materials for technical and non-technical audiences and to self-edit most typographic and grammatical errors.
  • Ability to understand and interpret oral instructions and/or written directions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to perform close, detail work involving considerable visual effort and concentration.
  • Ability to effectively work with and serve a diverse community.
  • Physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position (e.g., ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer for long periods of time, speak on the phone frequently during the day, and travel when needed).
  • Ability to travel when required.
