Our Mission: Project Invent empowers students with 21st-century skills to succeed individually and impact globally, through invention.

Our Vision: A generation of fearless problem solvers.

Project Invent (projectinvent.org) is a national nonprofit empowering high school students across the country to invent technologies for social impact. We train teachers in design thinking, engineering, and entrepreneurship to lead students through identifying real problems in their communities and inventing impactful solutions. At the end of the year, students pitch their inventions to investors and tech leaders at our Demo Day events. Since 2018, we've grown from one to 70 schools across the country and 70% of our fellows teach in low-income serving schools.

Our Senior Development Manager will work directly with our Executive Director to secure sponsorships for our events, apply for corporate and foundation grants, and cultivate donors at all giving levels. They will help launch three regional fundraising bases in the San Francisco Bay Area, Dallas-Fort Worth Region, and New York City. Project Invent is a fast-growing organization with a $900,000 budget in its fourth year of operation. We also have strong fundraising, with 95% of our fundraising goal raised halfway through our fiscal year.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with and telling the story of innovative STEM education organizations. The person serving in this position needs to be excited to join a fast-paced, dynamic work environment, passionate about building an organization from the ground-up.

Project Invent is building a culturally diverse team committed to working and thriving in a multicultural environment where differences are valued and respected. Women, minorities, individuals with disabilities, veterans, and intersectional individuals are highly encouraged to apply. We are a remote-friendly team, and are happy to accept candidates from anywhere in the U.S. This is a full-time, salaried position for a candidate excited about being a key contributor in a fast-growing organization.
