Programs Intern

Everytown for Gun Safety is hiring an intern to join its Programs Team, part of the Advocacy Campaigns Department. The intern position will support the Programs Team by helping to monitor, track and manage public education and awareness activities nationwide, as well as to ensure effective and efficient communication with grassroots volunteers.

Location: Remote or in DC office

Hours: 20 hours per week

Programs Intern Duties:

• Perform ongoing tracking of Programmatic work
• Evaluate, review and approve data for selected volunteer events using the technology software VAN
• Run event reports to track program initiatives through the use of VAN / data tools
• Assist in managing partner data in Salesforce
• Input relevant information on all program partners
• Update Salesforce records to ensure consistency, accuracy and thoroughness of information about partners
• Maintain Airtable tracker of nationwide partner initiatives
• Assist in monitoring and management of volunteer communications
• Assist in drafting and sending relevant program information to volunteers via email
• Monitor communications with volunteers via Slack
• Ensure all relevant questions or comments from volunteers are addressed in a timely manner
• Ensure that all volunteer initiatives are documented and tracked
• Assist with moderation and management of merchandise orders
• Fulfill orders as needed
• Monitor inventory status
• Assist with scheduling and note-taking
• Other duties as assigned

The minimum pay rate for this position is $17.00 per hour.
