Development & Communications Internship

Conservation Strategy Fund (CSF) announces an opportunity for a Development & Communications Internship.

CSF is seeking an intern to support our development and communications team in their fundraising and storytelling efforts. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the mission of a dynamic international environmental NGO addressing our most pressing environmental challenges with innovative solutions. A successful candidate will be self-motivated and happy to work with colleagues from around the world

Who We Are: From defending the biodiversity and local communities of the Amazon rainforest to supporting sustainable fisheries in Indonesia, CSF uses economics to protect nature and people. For the last 25 years, CSF has been empowering people with strategic tools to solve environmental challenges and fuel sustainable development, building strategies that have been applied all over the world. Through our country offices, we provide strategic advice to our partners and stakeholders through economic analysis and training. CSF has dedicated teams in Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Indonesia, Peru, South Africa, Costa Rica, and the United States. Our capacity building program has reached more than 5,000 people working for more than 3,000 organizations in 131 countries.

What You Will Do: We are seeking an intern to support development and communications efforts and outreach. The intern should be prepared to work in a professional team environment, and will finish the internship having gained broad experience in various aspects of fundraising and development; communications, donor and contact management, and non-profit management.

Responsibilities

• Providing support with communications, fundraising, and administration operations
• Researching, writing, editing, and proofreading a broad range of materials
• Designing content for social media and email outreach
• Entering and editing information in contact management systems

Qualifications

• Interest in environmental conservation or policy, and/or economics
• Excellent writing, editing, proofreading, and communication skills
• Excellent computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office and Google Apps (Docs, Sheets, etc.)
• Fluency in Spanish, Portuguese, or Indonesian a plus, but not required

Other

• This is an unpaid internship for approximately 6 months (October 2024 - March 2025), with the possibility for extension. A small stipend will be provided depending on hours worked. 
• This is a remote internship with a flexible schedule. Some overlap with UK working hours would be ideal. 
• We anticipate this internship to be about 5-10 hours per week.
