Child and Family Support Project, Food Drive and Basic Needs Kit.

Goal: To Build Childhood Resilience from a family systems approach.

The nonprofit organization, (R.E.A.L. Health, Inc.) dba, Padma Sherni, Inc. is offering internships to get involved in resolving food insecurity and basic needs supplies. We have been working in northern Delaware, USA, and are branching out to New York, and New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. We are also looking to work in Massachusetts and Connecticut.

For any college student, for a membership fee of 25 dollars, we can offer service hours and offer training for you on how to complete human services, child development, workshops.

We are a Baby Signs Too certified organization. You will also have the opportunity to offer a library workshops for parent education, for music and literacy promotion project, and learn how to complete an ages and stages questionnaire and get ready to read assessments. You will learn how to do basic survey research to manage data and do simple analysis for charts and graphs from Excel and or SPSS. If you have to complete a research project for your degree, we can offer an opportunity of mentorship for you.

We will simultaneously collect donations or cash to purchase basic needs and food items to distribute to those who are in need and who may take time participate in our programs.

Your job may include, conversations with public health affiliates, and participating preschools, families from a phone script. Recruitment of participants from library workshop sign ups and mobile health vans that we collaborate offers to schedule programming alongside of their visits.

Program offers, of music and emerging literacy assessments, and collection of food,basic supplies, and donation of specific toys like, lego duplo, dolls, and puzzles, and children's books.

We might also offer art supplies like water color, and school kits.

For those enrolled in college or an associates degree, Please email your cover letter to include how many service hours for your internship requirements that you are trying to complete, any past human services related work, volunteering efforts, or if this will be a new endeavor for you, one to three child development or human services related coursework you have participated in, and your resume.
