Would you like to live beach-front on the Caribbean Sea while working with volunteers from all over the world to benefit children in need? Honduras Child Alliance seeks a 12-month Development Manager (intern) to help coordinate all aspects of the promotional outreach strategies and fundraising appeals that we know are essential to getting the word out about our projects and programs. This would include outreach to alumni volunteers, former donors, writing a monthly newsletter, blogging for the website, updating volunteer posts, social media engagement, and recruitment of volunteers and donors. Community outreach (leading our team to promote our programs within the community) is also part of this role as is participating in our in-country programs. The starting date is flexible.

Honduras Child Alliance an established organization working in the beach town of El Porvenir, Atlantida, Honduras. As the Development Manager you would live in one of our volunteer houses in El Porvenir and participate 50% of your time in the classrooms. The other half of your time would be devoted to doing the outreach to publicize the work of HCA and to help us generate international volunteers, apply for grants, and do fundraising for specific programs.

In addition, we highly value our relationships within our local community and the Development Manager intern will help with local in-country outreach activities as well.

Our Development Manager is part of the in-country Leadership Team and reports to the Executive Director. You will receive free housing and wifi along with a food stipend of 750 HNL per week. Applicants must be available for at least 10 months but we'd be very happy to have you for a full year! Thanks for considering the Honduras Child Alliance!
