On October 29th, 2012 Hurricane Sandy devastated the northeast.

Almost a decade after Sandy, cumbersome aid application processes, inadequate insurance payouts, and instances of contractor fraud or negligence have left thousands of New Jersey families displaced or living in unsafe conditions in an unfinished home.

The last nonprofit dedicated to Hurricane Sandy-related rebuilding in the state of New Jersey, SBP serves in Monmouth, Ocean, and Atlantic Counties. SBP has rebuilt 250+ homes in New Jersey. We know that there are at least 1,000 families still in need.

SBP continues to show its long-term commitment to impacted residents through its unique model of shrinking time and lowering costs for displaced families using donors, volunteers, and AmeriCorps members.
