Nashville Orienteering Club

The purpose of the Nashville Orienteering Club is to promote and support the sport of orienteering within the Nashville community and its surrounding areas. The club aims to provide opportunities for individuals of all ages, fitness, and skill levels to participate in orienteering events, develop their navigation skills, and foster a love for outdoor exploration.

Orienteering is a sport where participants find control flags in urban, semi-urban and forested regions. They do this using a map and a compass. Our programming includes events where people of all ages and fitness levels come together to compete or simply complete our courses successfully. Nashville Orienteering Club has been in existence since the Fall of 2022. In the past year we have made strong progress in developing maps for our events, holding regular events, growing our mailing list, and increasing attendance at events. We are also making good progress with forging partnerships with other organizations.
