Our Mission

Our mission is to provide quality bilingual education to underprivileged youth in San Pedro Sula and Villanueva, Honduras.

ChallengeThe biggest challenge our community faces is poverty. Over 60% of the population of Villanueva live in poverty, our communities suffer from overcrowded public school classrooms, lack of resources, outdated materials and a lack of qualified, dedicated teachers. Honduras dedicates 7.5% of its GDP to education, but many public schools in Villanueva never see the benefits of the funds. We provide an affordable alternative dedicated to serving children who need it most.

SolutionThis project aims to ameliorate the connection between poverty and lack of quality education by providing private bilingual education to the poorest families of Villanueva at a price they can afford. Our goals for improving our program are to increase the hour of English usage by 4 hours each week; increase knowledge about technology in the real world; Improve social climate of Villanueva by introducing students to new ways of thinking.

Long-Term ImpactOur school will become a community structure educating 200 or more children each year allowing them to rise from poverty and create better lives for their families and future generations. Our students will have a better understanding of the world around them and they will be able to impact their communities because of the education they receive at our school.
