SHFT Mobile Kitchen Classroom

SHFT Mobile Kitchen Classroom seeks to provide high school students across the country with opportunities to learn about food, health, and sustainability. This type of education, we believe, has the power to help combat childhood obesity, foster environmental stewardship, and empower the next generation of leaders to make healthier decisions for themselves, their communities, and the planet.

In our first year, SHFT Mobile Kitchen Classroom is focusing on bringing hands-on gardening and cooking classes to high school students nationwide. In our mobile kitchen classrooms, we teach students basic cooking skills and how to prepare simple, healthy, and delicious meals. These activities are always connected to broader conversations around personal, public, and environmental health, and are intended to leave students with the skills and framework to make real changes in their lives and in their communities.
