Community Climate Ambassador

​​Americans are growing more concerned about climate change. As they experience impacts to their health, livelihoods, and communities, they are increasingly looking for guidance on solutions from leaders in their daily lives — community leaders like you. The Path to Positive Communities Ambassador program will empower and equip you to inspire your community, colleagues, the public, and policymakers to take action on climate change that makes a difference.

To become a Path to Positive Ambassador, you will complete a free, online and on-demand training. This training will provide you with knowledge, hands-on experience, and resources to speak and act confidently on climate change and solutions. You will receive a certificate following completion of the training.

You are a good fit for this volunteer position if you:

• Are concerned about climate
• Want to learn more about climate and how to communicate on climate solutions
• Want to do something to engage others on the issue
• Are interested in a purely volunteer effort
• Are based in the United States

As a Path to Positive Communities Ambassador you will:

• Give at least 3 Path to Positive presentations per year 
• Take at least 2 actions to advocate for climate solutions per year. These can include actions offered by Path to Positive or another organization, including: 
• Sign on to a letter supporting climate solutions
• Submit an Op Ed (Opposite the Editorial page), blog, thought piece or LTE (Letter to the Editor)
• Call or visit my local, state, or national representative(s)
• Attend a local, state, or national candidate forums
• Participate in an advocacy action that arises in their state, city, or profession 
• As much as you are able, prioritize voting in primary and general elections at all levels of government, and help others register to vote and get to the polls on election day
• Record the advocacy work you are doing via an online form provided by Path to Positive

As a Path to Positive Communities Climate Ambassador we will provide you:

• Tools, resources and events to act and advocate for climate solutions including presentation slides and talking points
• Access to a private online community of Ambassadors from across the nation who are passionate about being a voice for climate solutions
• Quarterly calls with all Path to Positive Ambassadors
• Continuous updates on climate and climate solutions
• Ongoing staff support
