Give the Gift of Music and Companionship to Hospice Patients

Orange Hospice invites music enthusiasts with a passion for bringing joy and comfort to consider our volunteer opportunity to play music for hospice patients. As a Music Companion, you can use your musical talents to visit hospice patients in their homes/places of residence to create a soothing and uplifting atmosphere for individuals facing end-of-life journeys.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Live Music Performances: Share your musical talents by playing instruments, singing, or providing pre-recorded music for hospice patients.
2. Create a Calming Atmosphere: Help enhance the overall well-being of patients through the therapeutic power of music.
3. Personalized Music Choices: Tailor your musical selections to the preferences and cultural backgrounds of patients.

Qualifications:

• Proficient in playing a musical instrument, singing, or operating music-playing devices.
• Compassionate and sensitive to the needs of hospice patients.
• Good communication skills and the ability to connect with individuals facing end-of-life challenges.
• Completion of hospice volunteer training (provided by Orange Hospice).
