Sew, Crochet, or Knit Comfort Items for Hospice Patients (Remote/From Home)

At Compassus Hospice, handmade items bring warmth, dignity, and comfort to patients at the end of life. We are seeking generous sewists, crocheters, and knitters to create and donate items that directly support our patients and families.

This is a remote volunteer opportunity, you complete projects at home and send or deliver them to our office. There is no minimum time commitment; every donation makes a difference.

Items We Currently Need

• Patient gowns (all sizes)
• Pillowcases
• Fidget blankets (activity quilts for comfort and restlessness)
• Crocheted or knit lap blankets
• Crocheted or knit hats

Guidelines

• Items must be smoke-free and pet-hair-free
• Any size, color, or pattern is welcome

Why It Matters

A soft blanket, a handmade gown, or a colorful pillowcase may seem small, but to our patients and their families, it is a profound reminder that they are cared for and remembered. Your craft can bring peace and comfort during one of life’s most tender times.
