Friendly Visiting with Older Adults-DOROT Westchester

DOROT Westchester provides a unique opportunity for volunteers to visit with older adults in the Westchester community, enrich each other's lives through meaningful social connection. Volunteers are matched with an older adult by their shared interests and other compatibility factors. Matches devote an hour on a weekly or monthly basis to engaging with each other at the older adult's home. Social workers will provide ongoing support to all volunteers. Opportunities are available throughout Westchester County.

DOROT is a social services organization dedicated to addressing social isolation and promoting social connections for older adults. DOROT is headquartered Manhattan and opened a Westchester location in 2016. We welcome volunteers ages 18+ and especially those 50+ to volunteer in a wide-ranging set of roles.
