PSYDEH is seeking a Development Manager. This is a 3-6 month fellowship followed by an opportunity for full-time employment. This position’s primary focus is to implement and grow effective fundraising strategies for a small nonprofit based in rural Mexico. A hands-on position, the Development Manager will collaborate with all members of the PSYDEH team as we support each other’s work in a dynamic and growing organization.
The primary responsibilities of the Development Manager is to identify partner opportunities for the organization; develop plans to compete for funding opportunities; execute those plans, including oversight of pre-solicitation/pre-proposal activities, as well as proposal preparation and submission; and otherwise contributing to PSYDEH’s external strategies and internal fundraising efforts as they relate to donors. The DM will plan, execute, lead, and monitor progress of fundraising strategies towards the organization’s goals.
In order for PSYDEH to continue to scale to meet our bold program visions it is essential that our funding streams and partnerships continue to grow. Our development goals include an increase in long-term, unrestricted general operating funds, maintenance and growth in private foundation grants, growth in individual donors through email and social media, and expansion of corporate partnership opportunities and planned giving programs.
PSYDEH is seeking a self-motivated team player prepared to work with the challenges of a small nonprofit based in rural Mexico. This position requires strong written communication skills as well as someone with experience solving complex problems in a collaborative setting.
