WOMEN BUILD WITH BEACHES HABITAT FOR HUMANITY

Beaches Habitat for Humanity partners with people in our local community to help them build or improve a place they can call home. Our Women Build Events provides a rewarding experience and the opportunity for women to take a proactive step in serving and improving the community.

ANY woman (at least 16 years old) who wants to learn how to build and construct a home is invited to join us. Women Build is an incredible opportunity to learn new skills or simply add a few to your tool belt. No experience is necessary. Volunteers work under the guidance of construction professionals, and alongside other volunteers and future Habitat homeowners.

Women Build is a terrific way to involve friends and family in making a long-lasting impact in the community. Or you can come alone, and make new friends who share like-minded interests in helping and giving back to the community. No matter if you come alone or bring a family or friend, Women Build Events have a collaborative and friendly environment.

Become a volunteer at Beaches Habitat for Humanity at a construction site by contacting us to sign up!

Volunteer tasks can include:

·        raising walls

·        hanging drywall

·        painting

·        landscaping

·        subfloor

·        raising trusses, and more

Shift Information:

·        Wednesdays and Fridays, 8:00am- 12:00pm

·        Saturdays, 8:30am-12:30pm

·        Tools and safety equipment provided

·        Athletic shoes/ work boots required

·        Snacks and water will be provided. Snacks may include a variety of chips, crackers, and protein/ granola bars.
