Mentoring Young Black Girls

We are looking for black female mentors to mentor/coach young black girls in our See Her Be Her Program (3 months program) open to all black girls 11 to 19 years of age in the United States.

As a Coach you will empower young Black girls by providing a service that is designed to address intergenerational trauma, low self-esteem, and identity issues. As a Coach you will also teach etiquette and black excellence, promote self-esteem and skills, uplift young black girls, and give them the courage & self-confidence to reach their dreams.

As a Mentor/Coach:

• Provide one-on-one mentoring/coaching to one mentee.
• Collaborate with the mentee's parent/guardian to ensure successful outcomes.
• Address intergenerational trauma, low self-esteem, and identity issues.
• Encourage the mentee to recognize their strengths and skills and utilize them. Take a deeper look into the stereotypes that they have faces or will face and teach them how to overcome them.
• Promote positive self-esteem, self-confidence, and skills.

Time: 1.5 hours per week. For the full 90 days.
