Volunteer Corps Lieutenant
The Garden City Bird Sanctuary (GCBS) Volunteer Corps mission is to keep the Sanctuary open to the public during weekends from the end of April to the End of September and to help maintain and improve the nine-acre preserve. The Volunteer Corps Lieutenant will help the Volunteer Corps Captain run the Volunteer Corps. The Lieutenant will:
- Volunteer for at least one 2-hour shift each month April - September to watch the gate and greet visitors to the sanctuary
- Help in getting volunteers to cover other shifts
- Help in getting shifts covered when volunteers can't make their assigned shifts
- Help in introducing potential volunteers to the GCBS
- Help with signing up new volunteers.
