About Us:

The Peace Economy Project (PEP) is dedicated to promoting peace and economic justice through research, advocacy, and community engagement. We are launching a podcast to further our mission by exploring topics related to peace, social justice, and economic transformation.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a passionate and organized Volunteer Podcast Producer to join our team. The Podcast Producer will oversee the production of our podcast, from planning and recording to editing and publishing. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in audio production and project management to contribute to a meaningful cause.

Key Responsibilities:

• Episode Planning: Collaborate with the team to develop episode ideas, themes, and content outlines.

• Guest Coordination: Identify and reach out to potential guests, schedule interviews, and ensure guests are prepared for recordings.

• Recording Sessions: Organize and facilitate recording sessions, ensuring high-quality audio and a smooth recording process.

• Editing and Post-Production: Edit podcast episodes for clarity, quality, and flow. Add music, sound effects, and other elements as needed.

• Publishing: Prepare and upload episodes to podcast hosting platforms. Write show notes and ensure all metadata is correctly entered.

• Project Management: Maintain a production schedule, track progress, and ensure deadlines are met.

• Quality Control: Ensure that all episodes meet the organization’s standards for content and audio quality.

• Promotion: Work with the marketing team to promote episodes through social media, email newsletters, and other channels.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Previous experience in podcast production, audio editing, or a related field.

• Technical Skills: Proficiency with audio editing software (e.g., Audacity, Adobe Audition, GarageBand) and recording equipment.

• Project Management: Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Creativity: Ability to develop engaging content and contribute creative ideas to the podcast.

• Passion for the Mission: A strong interest in social justice, peace, and economic issues.
