    About STEM Canada:

    STEM Canada is a registered not-for-profit global program specializing in advanced STEM-based educational curricula that emphasize the interconnected subject areas of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). The STEM program is open to all students from preschool to high school, with a mission to deliver top-notch STEM literacy and application, preparing students for globally competitive results.

    Position Overview:

    The Regenerative Medicine and Tissue Engineering Teaching Assistant supports faculty in teaching courses focused on the principles and applications of tissue engineering, stem cell therapy, and regenerative technologies.

    Location: Remote

    Start Time: Jan 6, 2025

    Time Commitment: 2 to 6 hours per week

    Key Responsibilities:

      • Simulation Support: Assist in conducting virtual simulations of regenerative procedures, including 3D bioprinting and stem cell applications in tissue repair.
      • Teaching Support: Lead online discussions, facilitate group activities, and assist with course materials on topics such as biomaterials, cell scaffolding, and organ regeneration.
      • Grading: Grade assignments, quizzes, and exams, and maintain student records.
      • Student Assistance: Provide clarification and support for students’ understanding of regenerative techniques, ethical considerations, and clinical applications.
      • Resource Development: Help develop educational materials, including case studies, guides, and presentations on emerging technologies in regenerative medicine.

    Qualifications:

      • Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Regenerative Medicine, or a related field; graduate students preferred.
      • Strong understanding of tissue engineering principles, biomaterials, and clinical applications of regenerative medicine.
      • Previous teaching or tutoring experience is a plus.
      • Ability to communicate complex concepts in regenerative medicine in an accessible manner.
      • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
