Be Part of Tucson's Beloved Open Streets Event, Cyclovia!

Would you like to take part in Tucson's biannual Cyclovia event?

Every year, Tucson Cyclovia draws upward of 50,000 people experiencing car-free streets and celebrating community and possibility. The event needs Tucson's help in ensuring a safe and successful time for all and is a great time for volunteers! All day-of volunteer shifts are half-days so that you are able to enjoy the event either before or after volunteering.

Day-of Volunteer Opportunities:

Intersection Volunteers: Choose a morning (8:30am-12:00pm) or afternoon shift (11:30am-3:00pm) and help reroute traffic and residents away from the event. You can volunteer half the day, play the other half! Drink or ice cream tickets, snacks and gratitude included!

Census Volunteers: Help gather data to improve Cyclovia events and support transportation advocacy for Tucson! Census volunteers collect short surveys from Cyclovians across the route. It’s a great opportunity with students who’d like more experience in data collection and/or analysis, or for any friendly volunteer who wants to help make Cyclovia better!

Pre & Post Cyclovia Volunteer Opportunities:

Neighborhood Outreach:

Two to three weeks before each event we spend a lot of time going door-to-door making sure everyone living along or near the route knows the event is happening. Be a part of our outreach team – this is a great opportunity for groups of two or more.

Inventory & Organizing:

We have lots of sorting, organizing, stocking and inventory work to do, both before and after Cyclovia. It’s a great way to get involved for people who like to do the work behind the scenes.

Data Sorting:

Are you a numbers person? We can always use a hand on sorting data collected day-of to ensure that Cyclovia participation is well-tracked and utilized.
