While all of our POC Board committees are chaired by members of the POC Board of Directors, our bylaws also allow for non-Board members to serve on our committees.

We are currently seeking additional committee members for our Fundraising and Programming Committees.

Fundraising Committee

The Fundraising Committee is responsible for the following: oversight and direction of fundraising activities; determining Board fundraising expectations and goals; providing guidance on meeting fundraising goals and tracking progress towards these goals; working with the Treasurer to ensure that processes are in place for donor recognition, IRS substantiation and disclosure requirements and the categorization of record-keeping by the source of income and donor; maintaining records to avoid duplication; working with the Finance Committee to determine the annual development budget; and engaging with networks for potential donors, time, and in-kind support.

Programming Committee

The Programming Committee is responsible for the following: oversight of new program development and expansion; development of an annual programming budget; initiation and guidance of the program evaluation process; proofing all marketing and communications; creation of a comprehensive event plan and timeline, including goals, outcomes, and theme; and the development and oversight of program sub-committees.
