Do you love plants and watching them grow?
Every year in January, Pacific Beach Coalition volunteers plant hundreds of native plants along the beautiful and beloved coastal trail from Pacifica State Beach (Linda Mar) to Rockaway Beach. These baby plants need consistent moisture during their first year in order to become firmly established in the ground.
You can help native plants (and wildlife) thrive!
PBC is looking for a small group of volunteers to water these plants over the course of the year. The water is located in a tank on the hillside near the trail. Volunteers would come out once or twice per month - depending on the weather - and water a section of the hillside.
By joining this important initiative, you'll gain a deeper knowledge of native plant species and how they help our local coastal ecosystem. Plus, you'll be a bigger part of our habitat restoration efforts, which have transformed the appearance of this busy recreational thoroughfare.
