Social Media Engagement Intern / Coordinator (Instagram)

Are you passionate about soulful living, in particular art and nature? Madrona is a community hosting meaningful gatherings, curating soulful public art installations, developing an artist residency program, and working toward a sanctuary center in southeastern Utah.

We are seeking a volunteer or digital marketing intern to support our Instagram engagement.

The right candidate will be excited about:

• Instagram in general! What's trending, proper etiquette, and staying on top of the evolving functionality and adjacent tools/apps
• Digital art - we are an art-centric organization and need our content to be on point! Professional, engaging, clean and on-brand. (You do NOT need to make the digital content, but bonus if you're interested and have skills in Adobe and/or Canva)
• Making meaningful, engaging reels, stories and posts
• Engaging with other users through meaningful interactions
• Creative community engagement campaigns - Example: Story prompts generate audience responses which are sent to a local volunteer poet who turns them into a collective poem and the final poem is paired with a visual from a local artist
• Tracking and growing an audience
• Monitoring and measuring campaign reach and what our audience wants more of

While this is a remote role and you can work from anywhere, we have a strong preference for volunteers who can experience and capture content at our in-person offerings. Volunteers get free access to select community events and discounted access to workshops.

This role is self-starting and is best suited for someone who has a passion for Instagram and can demonstrate an established, engaged audience on at least one account they own. This is not a good fit for someone learning how to effectively utilize social media.
