Be a Volunteer, Become a Friend

Be a volunteer and make a friend. Regular people on hospice appreciate a visit .You can't help but volunteer when you realize what you bring to the table. visiting, talking, listening.

We bring comfort and we bring a little purposeful joy into the room when we volunteer.

This is purposeful volunteering.

By visiting, enjoying a good story, telling a funny memory, playing old time music on your phone (Youtube is full of Big band music, Frank Sinatra and hymns), being a compassionate presence staying for an hour with a patient, while a caregiver or spouse runs to the store you simply help.

An hour or two of your time makes such an amazing difference in the life of a patient you can't help but volunteer.

Let's get you started and make a difference in their life, and make a wonderful difference in your life as well.
