Looking for a Marketing Plan done by a compelling Storyteller/Copywriter.

This project is to create a solid marketing/outreach plan and early content library.  Core issue is fatherlessness and resulting outcomes for children without fathers in their lives. The challenge is nuancing the language/message. In this divisive age, suggesting that men are marginalized in any way can cause outrage. Fatherhood can resonate, but child poverty, abuse, mental health, and harm invokes action/funding.

Wanting to invoke the narrative of solving problems upstream to prevent children from being thrown into the river instead of society’s historical approach of trying to pull kids out of the river downstream. Ounce of prevention versus a pound of cure.

Anticipating a 4–8-week engagement refining existing content, incorporating into website, creating digital collateral, cut-paste grant content, and defining a go-to-market outreach plan.  Target funders: community & endowed foundations, corporations, small businesses, & individuals.

Project pitch:

In this day and age of social justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion, the voice & perspective that is being overlooked, and to a large extent, marginalized is that of boys & men.

To emphasize that point, think about how that statement initially resonates with you. If male, you’re probably conditioned to think “women & children first” or “man up”. If female, you may be conditioned by the long female struggle for equality - right to vote, pay & career equality. Underlying all our reactions are personal experiences and stereotypes. With stereotypes, think of the parallels of racist and sexist beliefs and their effect on systems. 

Boys & men need love, support, and attention to our issues too. Supporting our daughters does not mean forgetting our sons. Advancing women’s issues does not mean ignoring men’s.  From the White House & federal government down to local foundations & nonprofits, most missions & language is targeted for girls & women.

While CC4BM is starting with fatherlessness, issues for boys & men touch on just about every aspect of life. Fatherhood & Family, Education (boys fall behind early), Mental & Physical Health (suicide rate 4X female), Law (criminal & family) (90% of jail population), Careers (needed in education healthcare).

Preparations & plans to implement.

We have already written a considerable amount of content that can be improved upon and used to get started.  We have a small library of relevant, websites, articles, posts, research, studies, etc.. available. As executive director, I will be incredibly responsive to onboarding, questions, conversations, review, and feedback. However I can help you help me, I will.

To implement, with the combined guidance from you and my advisors, I can get it done. Website, CRM, social media, and anything else, I just need a solid plan that I can execute on.

Looking for applicants who have a passion around fatherhood and the issues for children that stem from them not having a father in their lives. From poverty, suicide, abuse, and violence to everything in between and beyond, life is more difficult for children without fathers.
