About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated AI Specialist to support Speak Your Mind in integrating artificial intelligence tools and solutions to enhance our programs, community outreach, and internal operations. This role is ideal for someone passionate about technology, AI applications, and mental health advocacy.

You will help build AI-powered tools for mental health support, automate processes, analyze program data, and explore innovative solutions that improve how we engage with the community and measure impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Research, design, and implement AI tools and workflows to support community programs and operations.
• Develop AI solutions for mental health chatbots, daily check-ins, journaling prompts, or support tools for participants.
• Analyze program and operational data to inform decisions and improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with the leadership team to integrate AI solutions into ongoing initiatives and evaluate effectiveness.
• Stay up-to-date with AI trends and ethical considerations in mental health technology.
• Provide technical guidance or support to volunteers and staff using AI systems.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Successful deployment of AI tools or workflows that enhance programs or internal operations.
• Improved data insights and reporting using AI tools.
• Engagement metrics or user satisfaction from AI-supported community programs.
• Effective knowledge transfer to internal staff or volunteers.

Who We’re Looking For

• Passionate about mental health advocacy and technology integration.
• Experience or knowledge in AI/ML, natural language processing, or data analytics.
• Creative problem-solver with the ability to develop practical AI solutions.
• Strong organizational and collaboration skills.
• Commitment to volunteering for at least 12 months in a flexible, part-time capacity.
