Position Description: The construction crew leader plays an integral part in building and repairing homes. They lead and work directly with groups of skilled and unskilled volunteers, homeowners, and crew members; to complete all home construction activities and maintenance projects. The Crew Leader is responsible for the crew's overall work performance and safety during a project, which can help further develop and enhance their volunteer management and construction skills.
Core Responsibilities:
• Report to Construction Director
• Assist with all aspects of hands-on construction tasks including, but not limited to, demolition, site prep, framing, insulation, drywall, flooring, roofing, finish carpentry and landscaping.
• Projects/ Work may include new construction, rehabilitation, and home repair projects.
• Lead small groups of volunteers and facilitate safe and positive experiences for everyone working on site.
• Maintain site safety by adhering to Habitat construction safety policies, modeling best practices and guidelines, volunteer instruction, and site monitoring.

Shift Information:
· Tuesday – Thursday, 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM
· Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM
· Saturday, 7:00 AM to 12:30 PM with occasional evenings, Sundays or Mondays
Benefits Included:
· Housing Benefits
· Living allowance of $17,000 for approximately 10 ½ months of service.
· Segal Education Award of $6,495 upon successful completion of service.
