The Stewardship Committee works with SVT’s Stewardship Staff to lead the organization’s efforts in best stewardship and management practices to preserve the integrity of habitat and wildlife on our properties, manage public access, and uphold the public trust. This committee discusses proposed management plans and policies for SVT’s land and conservation restrictions. It assists staff in strategic planning of stewardship and makes recommendation to the Board of Directors on all matters pertaining to stewardship of SVT holdings.
We are seeking people with knowledge of land conservation and the natural sciences, including forest ecology, botany, and biology. Committee members meet at least five times a year and there are no term limits. Committee members are confirmed annually.
