We’re looking for a Fundraising volunteer to join our growing team!
What you’ll do:
We are seeking a personable, motivated, and mission-aligned Fundraising Volunteer to support our donor engagement and fundraising efforts. In this role, you will help cultivate relationships with potential supporters, engage current donors, and assist with initiatives that grow our gift-giving pipeline. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys connecting with people, believes in the power of philanthropy, and wants to build skills in nonprofit fundraising—all while working remotely.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with identifying, researching, and cultivating prospective donors.
- Support outreach efforts to individuals, small businesses, and community partners to grow fundraising opportunities.
- Participate in donor stewardship activities such as thank-you messages, follow-ups, and impact updates.
- Help prepare fundraising materials, donor communications, and personalized outreach lists.
- Maintain accurate donor records and track touchpoints within our CRM or donor management system.
- Support virtual fundraising campaigns, seasonal giving initiatives, and special events.
- Collaborate with leadership to brainstorm strategies for increasing donor engagement and sustaining long-term relationships.
- Promote the mission through outreach, networking, and community engagement efforts.
Qualifications
Required:
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Comfortable with outreach, connecting with new people, and representing the organization’s mission.
- Organized, reliable, and able to manage follow-ups and donor touchpoint.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Passion for nonprofit impact and supporting community-driven work.
- Prior fundraising or donor engagement experience is a plus but not required—we welcome motivated volunteers eager to learn.
- Possession of excellent organizational and communication skills.
Preferred:
- 2+ years’ experience with grant writing, fundraising, campaign management, event fundraising, or similar.
- Experience in building and maintaining relationships with donors, volunteers, community members, and other stakeholders who can contribute to fundraising efforts.
- Ability to steward relationships with donors, ensuring they feel valued and engaged in the organization's mission and activities.
- Ability to effectively communicate the organization's mission and impact through various channels, including social media, newsletters, and direct mail campaigns.
- Knowledge of ethical guidelines and legal requirements related to fundraising, including donor confidentiality and data protection regulations
- Understanding of fundraising and donor financial management principles and applications
- Bachelor’s degree in fundraising, philanthropy, marketing, communications, or related field.
- Experience in Salesforce CRM Platform is a plus.

Time Commitment
