Social Media Liaison

Working for Parents, Inc is a 501c3 non-profit established in 2021.

Our mission is to bring energy and strength to parents by responding to the economic, societal, and structural issues that are affecting their daily lives. Our Vision is that community, businesses, and policymakers synergize to produce an environment where parents feel secure and have the resources needed to support their families.

Our three focus areas are: Economic Mobility & Stability, Workplace Rights for Parents, Mental Health

Position

Working for Parents is looking for a self-motivated and talented Social Media Liaison to lead our communications. In this position, you will be in charge of producing high-quality content that engages the community and builds brand recognition on our social media platforms.

Your main duties will also include creating informative content, press releases, articles, and media opportunities to share our company’s brand, products, and services. The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator, with brilliant presentation and organizational skills.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement effective communication strategies that build client and community loyalty programs, brand awareness, and community and customer satisfaction.
• Prepare detailed media activity reports.
• Plan and manage the design, content, and production of all social media materials.
• Establish networking relationships that include: Industry professionals, Social media influencers, Funders, Governmental agencies, and other external stakeholders
• Ensure all social media content posting such as active links, hashtags, live web audience with correct associations to the communities we serve.
• Create communication and marketing strategies for new services, launches, events, and promotions.
• Manage all current and future social media: LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter.
• Respond to communication-related issues in a timely manner.

Requirements

• Proven experience creating targeted content is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of social media communication practices and techniques.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be able to multitask and work well under pressure.
• Excellent organizational and leadership abilities.

This is solely a volunteer opportunity. As the organization grows there will be an opportunity for the Social Media Liaison to receive compensation.
