About Us

Nonprofits First is an organization focused on enhancing our nonprofit community’s effectiveness, efficiency, and ultimately impact through our programs: Leadership Education and Professional Development, Management Support Services and Accreditation.

Established in 2005 by a coalition of public and private funders, Nonprofits First has strengthened hundreds of agencies as they work to achieve a higher level of service delivery, community impact, and success. Our experienced executives, consultants, and volunteers work diligently to promote quality and accountability in the nonprofit sector.

Volunteer Opportunity

Our Executive Volunteer Corps is a world-class group of executives with a high level of commitment to capacity building for nonprofit organizations in Palm Beach County.

Each of our executive volunteers shares a dedication to improving the quality and accountability of nonprofit management by participation in on-site administrative reviews, development and presentation of trainings and workshops, and much more.

Members of our Executive Volunteer Corps have expertise in one or more of the following areas:

·        Nonprofit administration

·        Board governance/ board development

·        Strategic planning/strategic financial planning

·        Financial management/auditing

·        Human resource management

·        Volunteer services

Ideal candidates for our Executive Volunteer Corps will have a minimum of five years’ experience, having served as executive directors, chief executive officers, chief financial officers, CPAs, chief operating officers, human resource managers, or board members.
