Graphic Designer and Content Creator with Video Editing Skills for Atheist Organization

At the International Association of Atheists (IAA), we are working hard to make a meaningful difference in peoples' lives. IAA is a coalition of atheist and atheist-friendly people and organizations working together to make secular humanist initiatives happen. We strive to educate, protect, and assist atheists internationally. These positions are currently volunteer oriented. We require at least 1+ hours a day in general but up 3+ a day during the giving season (October - December).

We are looking for multiple people. We encourage people that are multilingual to apply.

The Opportunity

Serve as IAA’s multi-disciplinary designer to help us develop graphics and video for social media, online fundraising campaigns and some print design. There will also be miscellaneous design needs.

Responsibilities:

• Conceptualize and create visuals, designs, logos, icons, renderings, and illustrations for services, digital assets, print advertisements, web video, signage,, flyers, branded gear/swag, corporate identity, etc.
• Successfully execute creative materials including end-to-end file preparation and final deliverables for print and/or digital ads/video.

Required Competencies and Experience:

• Strong knowledge of Adobe CC: Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects
• Experience with social media and content creation. Platform experience needed: Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Reddit, and YouTube.• Video editing including some animation, special effects and colour grading if necessary.
• Excellent audio skills, selecting tracks and editing.
• Experience processing, editing and repurposing video material from external sources such as agencies or stock video libraries.
• Expert knowledge of what makes great social video and branded content.
• Ability to storyboard concepts quickly and clearly articulate ideas to line manager and other team members.
• Strong understanding of compressing and encoding video formats.
• Strong foundation of digital design and graphic design principles.
• The ability to produce motion design from initial brief right up to completion.
• Demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolio.
