Art Teacher Volunteer

We are looking for passionate individuals to come and join our exciting team in India!

Being a volunteer at Kalkeri Sangeet Vidyalaya is an incredibly rewarding experience and a unique opportunity to make a difference in the lives of children and their families here in Kalkeri.

KSV students come from a rural background with rare opportunities to develop their creative skills. Our Arts Teacher Volunteer encourages the children to realize their potential and improve their well-being through classroom projects revolving around different kinds of arts and crafts.

You will be planning lessons for students aged 10-16, manage the classroom and liaise with the Head of Academics. You will also be actively involved in arts-based activities with the children and working directly with other volunteers.

You will have significant freedom to share your passion for art and education, while receiving training and support throughout your stay at KSV.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and give art classes to students
• Organize art activities for the children during their free time with other volunteers
• Arouse the children's creative and artistic sense

Requirements:

• Minimum commitment of 6 months - essential
• Previous teaching experience or Art degree - essential
• Strong creative skills
• Interest in art and willingness to share your knowledge
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Self-starter
• Strong interest in community projects, education and child development
