Fundraising Officer (m/f)

We are searching for a Fundraising Officer (m/f) to join our team.

The successful applicant will be responsible for promoting our website and our online donation portal, raise funds, and advise on best practices for social media engagement. The ideal candidate has a strong grasp of social media strategy and fundraising methods, and is skilled at driving online traffic, optimizing donation campaigns, and building community support through various platforms.

• develop and implement strategies to increase website traffic and visibility
• optimize website content and SEO to attract and retain visitors
• create and/or promote digital fundraising campaigns including crowdfunding and email donation campaigns
• identify and engage potential funding sources, including grants and partnerships
• help us create, curate, and schedule high-quality social media content across platforms

Essential Requirements:

• secondary education and recognized certification in marketing, communications or a related field is a plus.
• 2+ years of experience in digital marketing, fundraising, or social media engagement
• organized and detail oriented
• passionate about helping children and aware of socio-economic issues affecting the East African region, especially Uganda. Must be motivated to make a tangible impact.
