Donation Truck Assistant

Do you have strong hands and a love of meeting people? Volunteer your skills on the Skagit Habitat for Humanity donation truck! Join our donation driver to pick up donations and drop sold Store items off at their new homes. Explore Skagit County while saving gently loved furniture and housing materials from landfills. The money from each donated item sold at the Store goes directly back into our mission of safe, affordable housing. Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintain safety through modeling of safety practices and guidelines
• Carry large pieces of furniture and appliances into and out of the Habitat Truck
• Help transport furniture and appliances to and from our store.
•  Log volunteer hours

Qualifications/ Physical Requirements:

• Availability on days we transport items. We transport items Tuesdays-Fridays. Volunteer schedules are based on availability.
• Strong verbal communication skills
• Ability to work with a diverse group of people
• Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time
• Ability to lift at least 50+ lbs. on a regular basis
