The Sourcing Service Associate is an operational position and is assigned temporarily during a disaster relief operation. This position receives, obtains, and delivers materials and services requested from disaster relief operation teams.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, track, fill and deliver material and service requests in accordance with Sourcing Standards and Procedures.
- Validates approval and criteria limitations for each order and requests additional information as needed.
- Accurately document requests/orders in Sourcing system (Supply Procurement Tracker)
- Maintain order and delivery status in Sourcing system (Supply Procurement Tracker).
- Identify procurement options for each request and escalate requests as needed to SOU/SV for determination. Provide good customer service and communicates timely updates with requestor.
- Complete reconciliation and order fulfillment as required.
- Purchase and/or rent materials and services through available sources.
Qualifications (required):
- Ability to learn and implement Sourcing Standards and Procedures and follow associated job tools including reporting requirements.
- Willingness to learn Sourcing systems (Supply Procurement Tracker), including reconciliation and fulfillment of orders.
- Comfortable purchasing products and services from vendors
- Familiarity with proper moving, lifting, and storing of material.
- Comfortable working independently and within a team
- Ability to work with a broad variety of people with diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to have good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to listen actively and work well with others.
- Ability to function in a dynamic and stressful environment.
- Ability to appropriately involve others in managing problems and conflict.
- Ability to acquire, evaluate, and report information accurately.
- Valid Driver’s License (required for deployment out of region)
- Willingness to comply with current public health and Red Cross policies.
Physical Requirements:
- Lift / carry 20 - 50 lb multiple times/shift
- Stand for two-hour periods
