Outside with Recess Village is a dynamic organization dedicated to celebrating Black travel, leisure, and recreation while fostering connections to nature, culture, and community. We curate unique and memorable outdoor experiences, ranging from adventure sports excursions to cultural immersion trips, aimed at promoting holistic wellness and cultural enrichment among our participants.

Role Overview:

The Social Media Content Creator & Graphic Designer will be responsible for developing visually compelling content that aligns with Outside with Recess Village’s mission and engages our audiences across social media platforms. This role requires creativity, storytelling skills, and an understanding of digital engagement strategies.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and design high-quality graphics, videos, and written content for OWRV’s social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.).
• Plan and schedule content aligned with organizational events, initiatives, and partnerships.
• Monitor social media trends to create innovative and engaging content.
• Engage with followers, responding to messages and comments to foster community interaction.
• Assist in maintaining brand consistency across all digital materials.

Qualifications:

• Experience with graphic design software (Canva, Adobe Suite, etc.).
• Strong understanding of social media engagement strategies.
• Photography/video editing skills are a plus.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Time Commitment: 5-8 hours per month
