    About Speak Your Mind

    Speak Your Mind is a mental health-focused nonprofit dedicated to creating safe spaces for local community members to connect, share, and support one another. Through community programs and initiatives, we work toward breaking stigmas and building stronger, healthier communities.

    We are seeking a dedicated Director of Operations to join our leadership team on a volunteer basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain executive-level experience while contributing to a cause that drives meaningful impact.

    Role Overview

    The Director of Operations will oversee the day-to-day operations of Speak Your Mind, ensuring that organizational systems, workflows, and teams run smoothly. This role requires strong organizational and leadership skills, the ability to run effective meetings, a problem-solving mindset, and alignment with our mission to advocate for mental health and community support.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Manage daily operations across the organization to ensure efficiency and alignment with strategic goals.
    • Oversee team management, supporting both volunteers and staff to maximize productivity and collaboration.
    • Identify and implement system improvements to streamline workflows, increase impact, and improve communication.
    • Collaborate with the Executive Director, leadership and admin team on organizational planning and decision-making.

    Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

    • Consistent team productivity ,engagement, and retention
    • Effective execution of organizational programs and activities.

    Who We’re Looking For

    • Someone passionate about mental health advocacy and aligned with Speak Your Mind’s mission.
    • Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
    • Interest in gaining hands-on leadership and nonprofit management experience.
    • Ability to commit time consistently in a volunteer capacity for a minimum of 12 months
    • A coachable problem-solver with a willingness to learn, adapt and grow with a start up organization
