Artportunity Knocks HONORS

Artportunity Knocks is a nonprofit dedicated to empowering youth through after-school programs, STEAM education, creative arts and career pathways. On Saturday, December 13th, 2025, we’re hosting our annual HONORS Event, celebrating the impact we’ve made in Atlanta and sharing our vision for 2026.

This year, we are proud to honor Dr. Lonnie Johnson, the inventor of the Super Soaker, with a Lifetime Achievement Award for his contributions to innovation and youth development.

To make this celebration unforgettable, we’re looking for passionate volunteers to support our event!

Volunteer Roles Available

Help out in any of these areas:

• Setup Crew: Set tables, decorate and prepare the venue.
• Guest Check-In: Welcome guests and assist with registration.
• Hospitality: Ushering, guest support and VIP assistance.
• Media Support: Capture photos or video, assist camera team.
• Stage Support: Help cue speakers and manage transitions.
• Food Assistance: Support catering and refreshment areas.
• Breakdown Crew: Pack up and reset the venue after the event.
