JRA’s model of food delivery allows recipients to receive assistance directly to their door, alleviating some of the challenges they may face, such as transportation, language barriers, or access. Volunteers will choose a delivery route that can have anywhere from 1 to 15 addresses. Deliveries may be to individual homes, garden-style apartment complexes, or high-rise apartment buildings. Volunteers will arrive at the JRA warehouse and proceed through our drive-thru where they will receive instructions and the items for their delivery. The average delivery time is about 1 hour.
