Nuestro Programa

Our multidimensional and interdisciplinary approach to education gives students the academic freedom to shape their unique, individual paths.

Discover a new kind of university in New York City, one where scholars, artists, and designers come together to challenge convention and create positive change. Our university takes full advantage of its location in one of the most vibrant cities in the world.

At our university, students have the academic freedom to shape their unique, individual paths for a complex and rapidly changing world. Our graduate programs go beyond mainstream thought and practices, fostering intellectual inquiry and creative mastery. Master's and doctoral students work with renowned faculty who are scholars, practitioners, and mentors. Together they defy academic orthodoxy, take intellectual risks, publish groundbreaking research, and contribute to emerging fields. Graduate students now also have the opportunity to pursue one of The New School's graduate minors, structured pathways of study that immerse students in disciplines outside of their primary field and broaden their skill-sets and career options.

Since our founding in 1919, The New School has redrawn and redefined the boundaries of intellectual and creative thought as a preeminent academic center. Our rigorous, multidimensional approach to education dissolves walls between disciplines and helps nurture progressive minds. With leading-edge faculty and world-renowned alumni, we are committed to developing students who will have an impact on the world and solve the most pressing social issues of our times. Discover a truly diverse, stimulating learning environment in the heart of one of the most creative and innovative cities in the world.

Clubes y Asociaciones

We encourage all degree-seeking students to get involved on campus by joining registered student organizations or by starting one of their own. It is a rewarding experience that allows students not only to build leadership skills but also to establish lasting friendships. Our current roster of organizations includes groups of pre-professional and academic interest; political action and advocacy; international interest; art, music, and performance; social and special interest; and faith-based, religious, and spiritual interest.

For a list of student organizations, visit NarwhalNation, our one-stop shop for university-wide student activities and involvement.

The New School for Social Research also has a dedicated list of student activities for master's and doctoral students.

The Center for Graduate Career and Professional Development supports master's and doctoral students as well as graduate student alumni as they explore, prepare for, and choose meaningful careers.

Responsive, caring, and attentive to each student's needs, we uphold The New School’s commitment to social justice by connecting students and employers who aim to tackle today’s most pressing social issues. We pair students with advisors who have area-specific knowledge to aid in their career advancement or help them transition to a new field.
