Syracuse University uses a holistic review process when looking at applications. Much of the application review process is centered around the applicants' academic abilities (GPA, curriculum, etc.). We also take other activities, skills, and attributes into the review process. We are more concerned with why an applicant is considering a particular grad program/career. We look for students who have already begun their education through volunteer activities and other endeavors before coming to Syracuse.

  • Lauren Beville image

"My time in the social work graduate program at Syracuse has been phenomenal. Small class sizes have allowed me to connect with and engage in meaningful dialogue with my classmates and professors, which has enhanced my learning experience significantly. Our professors bring extensive research and practice backgrounds to the program which contributes to our success."

Lauren Beville, Master of Social Work ‘18
  • Briana Alfaro image

“The Food Studies program was a perfect fit for my interest and experience in social justice and food systems work.
