    Descrição

True Impact (www.trueimpact.com) is an innovative new social impact measurement and reporting platform for charitable investments. Fortune 500 companies like Apple, eBay, PepsiCo, and UPS and their nonprofit partners use True Impact to quantify the social impact of their grants, volunteerism, and other philanthropic giving to demonstrate success and identify opportunities for improvement.

We're seeking a part time nonprofit support associate to assist our social impact team with equal parts project management, platform configuration, and nonprofit reporting support.

This is an ideal opportunity to be part of a tight-knit measurement and evaluation team, with the chance to help nonprofits better communicate their social impact to funders.

    Qualifications

    • 1-3 years of academic and/or professional experience with program evaluation and supporting logic model development.
    • A commitment to social impact reporting as an invitation for lifting marginalized voices and amplifying meaningful community change.
    • Enthusiasm for helping people overcome technical challenges and sharing solutions with genuine warmth.
    • Proven experience writing effective emails and providing actionable feedback.
    • Working across multiple timelines with multiple social impact managers sounds pretty exciting. In fact, you are so organized, this page is already bookmarked for future reference.
    • A love of systematizing processes and turning annoyances into improvements.
    • Comfort and experience in a 100% remote team environment, managing projects through Zoom calls, Slack messaging, Google document sharing, and Teamwork project management.
    • US-based candidates only and the ability to work with a primarily EST time zone, with our common work hours between 10 - 4 pm EST.

    Your Role on the Team

Having established a small-but-mighty team of measurement consultants, we support thousands of nonprofits to complete social impacts every year, and are planning for significant scale in coming years.

You will be working with the following folks to support reporting launches, nonprofit communication and support, and report feedback. Not to brag, but we’re a pretty special group, and we can’t wait to welcome a new team member!

Sadie is the director of social impact. In addition to managing a portfolio of clients, she makes sure our engines don’t get overheated as new projects come online. She was hired in 2010 as the first full-time staff of True Impact after a conversation about measuring the social impact of museums with CEO Farron Levy - the beginning of our robust logic model library. She has a folksy, Ted Lasso-style leadership style, which some find charming.

Sara is a senior manager of social impact. In addition to supporting our marketing team, she manages client and nonprofit technical assistance, and delivers data dashboards that bring impacts to life (#dataviznerd). What we liked so much about Sara when she applied was her breadth of experience with strategic planning, writing, and program replication, on top of a data background from Mathematica. Sara lives, runs, and totes her family around the great state parks of Wisconsin.

Jessica is a social impact manager who hails from Madison, Wisconsin. In addition to managing 1:1 nonprofit support, report feedback, and nonprofit resource development, she runs point on software issues and product improvements, providing feedback on all product design rooted in the user experience. Jessica brings academic and professional expertise in nonprofit leadership, and comes to us from GlobalGiving, where she supported training and fundraising efforts for 5,000+ nonprofits from around the world.

Mike is a social impact manager who brings a doctorate in community well-being and a decade of client success leadership in learning evaluation software. He is masterful at guiding the change management processes donors need to understand and use the data we collect. In addition to supporting clients, Mike makes sure the sales team has what they need to share our special sauce. He is the funniest member of the team (company?), and watches baby manatees swim under his dock in southern Florida - but is looking forward to an upcoming move to St. Louis!

Jenny is a social impact manager, having previously been a True Impact client! She has extensive experience in nonprofit program management, impact evaluation, and stakeholder relationship building across various sectors. Recently, Jenny worked in corporate citizenship at a Fortune 500 company, supporting the development of impactful programs and implementing a social impact measurement strategy. Originally from Mexico City, Jenny lives and works from San Diego.

Virginia is a social impact manager, and brings over eight years experience in project management, evaluation, and nonprofit reporting across a range of philanthropic, nonprofit, and international organizations such as Vitalyst Health Foundation, La Clínica del Pueblo, and the International Monetary Fund. Virginia is stationed in Arizona, and currently leads True Impact in most languages spoken: she is fluent in English, Spanish, and Italian, and has a working knowledge of French and Portuguese.

Gabriela is a social impact specialist that supports the nonprofit experience on True Impact, with a focus on guiding organizations through the reporting process. After her previous nonprofit and higher education work, she brings expertise in project management, feedback loop implementation, and community engagement. She is passionate about helping others curate meaningful narratives to enact social change. On the side, she pursues creative hobbies, including painting pet portraits and college essay consulting.

What Your First Few Months Will Look Like

You’ll work closely with the social team to get familiar with our social impact reporting launch cycles and processes. While you get acquainted with report feedback resources and client projects, you’ll be able to provide nonprofit support right away for our current reporting cycles.

You’ll start with support we have documentation for, and begin developing additional templates to solve technical problems and guide nonprofits to report their program outcomes. You will also start providing feedback to improve clarity and consistency of nonprofit reports, with an experienced staff member there to coach you along the way.

You’ll collaborate with the other social impact team members on ongoing and upcoming report launches for the client projects they own, meeting with the team daily for status updates, and meeting with Jessica for a weekly one-on-one.

We are committed to continuous improvement, and use daily team meetings to work problems together. Be prepared to provide a reflection on how you want to make the orientation stage better for the next person by the end of the month. Like all good measurement nerds, we love feedback.

    About True Impact

Every year companies invest millions of dollars in cash, volunteerism, and in-kind donations to help support philanthropic causes they truly care about. The problem is, charities lack standardized outcome metrics, making it impossible to determine which initiatives have the greatest impact.

True Impact is a measurement and reporting platform that guides nonprofits to quantify their impact (like TurboTax for social impact reporting) and companies to analyze the results (via layperson-friendly dashboards and analytics). The results enable both donors and charities to prove the value of their philanthropic activities, identify opportunities for improvement, and direct future investment decisions to maximize social impact.

True Impact is based in Boston, MA, but is a 100% remote company, with team members around the world. Everyone at True Impact is committed to helping the social sector achieve greater things through better data, and we are looking for team members who share our passion for this vision. Is that you? We’d love to hear from you!
