We are currently seeking an Account Director-Website Development who will ensure Concord Direct develops high quality websites from end to end to achieve client success. This role will lead the development of websites, informed and supported by the work of strategic, design, and technical team members. The person serving in this role will serve as the project owner and key point of contact for our internal project team. They will oversee and manage project execution throughout the entire lifecycle for website development projects, using technology that is likely to include Wordpress, Zapier, Mailchimp, and Marketing Cloud. We envision the person in this role investing 30% of their time supporting the discovery process and 70% managing people and processes.


●       Ownership: Responsibility for the success of client engagements from end-to-end, seeking support from peers and matrix service staff.

●       Discovery: Lead discovery and deliverable review calls with client and client stakeholders.

●       Project Planning: Segment site creation into logical phases including but not limited to requirements-gathering, wireframing, creating copy decks, design, development, internal testing, user testing, launch, and post-launch support.

●       Budgeting: Manage budget and schedule, adjusting as necessary when requirements change.

●       Account Growth: Identify opportunities to improve our clients’ business and expand the work our team does to support them.

●       Issue Tracking: Continuously identify, track, and manage project action items, issues, and risks.

●       Client Communication: Deliver clear and frequent communication with the client regarding project scope of work and additional requests. Support the management of client expectations about what is included in the scope versus what is not included in the scope throughout the project.

●       Change Management: Offer and control change orders in a timely manner for client requests that are outside the original scope of work.

●       Process Improvement: Contribute to process improvement by gathering input from both internal and external stakeholders to present improvements to management to ensure we are delivering the best possible product and experience to our customers.

●       Feedback: Provide detailed feedback to project teams and internal resources including developers, the creative team, and quality control analysts to ensure we are delivering the best possible experience to our customers.

●       Learning: Demonstrate creative thinking capabilities and an interest in learning and adopting new marketing technology and tactics. Playing a role in educating business stakeholders about emerging technologies and trends.


●       Project Management: Experience managing the end-to-end design, development, quality assurance, and production phases of websites for agencies, nonprofit organizations, and/or other small businesses.

●       Team Management: Experience directly leading engineering and production teams across more than 20 website development projects.

●       Service and Client Orientation: Experience building relationships and managing client engagements in a professional services agency environment.

●       Web: Strong understanding of the web technology required to develop and maintain dynamic websites powered by content management systems, specifically Wordpress CMS.

●       Environments: Strong understanding of LAMP stack environments and front-end languages and associated frameworks, including HTML, CSS, and Javascript.

●       Email: Strong understanding of mass email solutions, email deliverability issues, and email-specific coding requirements.

●       Security: Comfortable guiding security aspects of website programs, including general defensive development, SSL security, and user credentials.

●       Advertising: Understanding of digital advertising and content marketing. Experience using reporting tools that demonstrate the efficacy of advertising campaigns and audiences.

●       Technical Expertise: Demonstrated (and preferably credentialed) expertise in a healthy group of the following platforms, in addition to expert level experience with Wordpress CMS: Mailchimp, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Hubspot, Blackbaud Luminate,  Engaging Networks, Salsa Engage, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and Google Data Studio.


Our ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent from a four-year college; and/or seven plus years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
