The Asian American Advocacy Fund (AAAF) seeks an experienced individual to join our team as Policy Advocacy Manager. Our mission is to amplify the collective power of Georgia’s Asian American communities’ through community organizing, storytelling, electoral organizing, and policy advocacy. We work in deep and transformative partnerships towards a hopeful future and dignified present for all.
We exist to build a shared Asian American community – working in solidarity with other marginalized communities to learn from our shared struggles and strengths, and to fight for change towards collective liberation. For too long, we have been facing racism and injustices that undermine the livelihood, dignity, and wellbeing of our communities. We need to come together and build our collective strength and power for systemic change in Georgia that can dismantle inequity and move us towards a hopeful future.

JOB SUMMARY
The Policy Advocacy Manager, reporting directly to our Deputy Director, will support and advance the organization’s policy and electoral work. They will play a key role in the development and implementation of advocacy strategies, researching policy issues impacting the Asian American community, and engaging with community partners to promote positive change.

POSITION SUMMARY
Salary: $71,500 to $79,500, dependent on experience.
Location & Travel: Atlanta, GA region. This position qualifies as a hybrid role, meaning that the staff person may work remotely but will need to reside in the State of Georgia and be in-person regularly for community meetings and events, legislative advocacy, and AAAF-related meetings and retreats.

Start Date: The start date for this position is flexible, as early as November 2024 through January 2025. We understand that some candidates may have a commitment through the 2024 election, and welcome those to apply.
