Stemtree offers several programs, including after-school programs & camps, tutoring, and custom-made events. Designed for kids ranging from kindergarten to 12th grade, Stemtree’s unique programs ignite each child’s intrinsic desire to learn about the world around them.

Stemtree has a presence in over 15 states. Stemtree of Lower Manhattan is the first Stemtree program in the New York Metro area.

Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic, entrepreneurial, and driven manager to launch and coordinate the Stemtree program in New York City. This role requires a blend of operations acumen and entrepreneurial spirit, ideally suited for someone with a background or interest in STEM education. The Program Manager will be instrumental in establishing Stemtree as a premier STEM education program in the region.

Key Responsibilities

• Operations Management: Oversee daily operations of programs to ensure a safe, engaging, and high-quality educational environment.
• Staff Recruitment and Development: Recruit and train a team of educators and instructors.
• Marketing and Community Engagement: Develop and execute marketing strategies to promote the program’s services within the community. Engage with local schools, parents, and organizations to build partnerships and enhance student enrollment.
• Financial and Administrative Oversight: Manage the program’s budget to ensure profitability and operational efficiency.
• Launch center in Lower Manhattan: Be an integral member of the team responsible for opening a new Stemtree center in Lower Manhattan.

Qualifications

• Educational Background: Degree in business administration, marketing, operations, education leadership, or related field.
• Professional Experience: Minimum of 2 years of work experience (or graduate degree) in business management, operations, or administration. Previous experience working at a camp, after-school program, or educational program is a plus.
• Skills and Abilities: Entrepreneurial spirit, resourcefulness, organizational and problem-solving skills.

• Compensation: $40-60 per hour (considering experience)
