After starting as the overall #2 grossing fashion brand on the Etsy platform, the company began scaling beyond in late 2019 and has experienced a 1000%+ revenue increase in the past 24 months. Striving to rethink the ethics of fashion for the benefit of women and girls globally, we embrace the mission of Design That Matters™, founded on the four pillars of democratizing design, ethical production, sustainability and social impact and are responsible for supporting over 500,000 school days for marginalized girls globally.

Marcella is looking to appoint a Head of Growth at its Northampton, MA office (with a virtual working arrangement with periodic visits being acceptable for the right candidate). Directly reporting into the company’s co-founders (but with the possibility of reporting into a Global CMO if and when Marcella may hire one) and working within the overall global 50+ person team day-to-day, you will be leading and/or helping to manage myriad aspects of the company’s continuing efforts to scale Marcella. Managing two direct reports to begin, approximately 40% of your time will involve exercising senior day-to-day oversight and support of the Marcellanyc.com website in accordance with the company’s sales, merchandising and marketing plans. Approximately 35% of your time will involve efforts directed overall in one way or another at scaling further Marcella’s commercial footprint, managing and leading the team in evolving forward the brand’s web presence across existing and new marketplaces and its website (including affiliate marketing). Up to 25% of your time will involve work related to continuously researching the brand’s competitive landscape, trends, customer insights, analytics from the data-driven and strategic perspectives, including managing the company’s marketing reporting suite.

Examples of things you will be doing and be great at:

· Exercising senior day-to-day oversight and support of the Marcellanyc.com website; specifically, overseeing two direct assistant manager reports, leading the planning and publishing of website content in accordance with sales, merchandising plans, and marketing plans to enable visitors a seamless user experience and swift journey through the purchase funnel.

· Analyze sales and website performance regularly and make recommendations to improve performance.

· To manage and lead the team in evolving forward the brand’s web presence across existing and new marketplaces and its website (its central sales channel), including incorporating cutting edge technologies to optimize the customer experience, leading the ongoing scaling of affiliate marketing, identifying brand equity building/new revenue opportunities, identifying liquidation opportunities, as needed;

· To manage and lead the team in ensuring the appropriate maintenance of various e-stores globally (and, again, centrally its website), including execution of all marketplace/website creative deliverables and understanding/managing the competing economics of each.

· To continuously research the brand’s competitive landscape, trends, customer insights, analytics from the data-driven and strategic perspectives;

· To spearhead and look to continually improve Marcella’s internal processes for tracking site analytics, metrics, and campaign reporting, including overseeing the certain campaign budgets for certain inside and outside digital marketing professionals working on the brand (i.e., SEO, SMS and Email spend, etc. but excluding Paid Search and Social to begin).

Key Requirements include:

· A completed graduate degree (preferably M.B.A. from a top-tier institution);

· 10+ years of dedicated business development work experience involving branded consumer goods, ideally within fashion;

· 7+ years e-commerce experience included, preferably involving Shopify websites as a main focus;

· Keen understanding of the acquisition funnel within e-commerce and marketplace environments;

· Successful multi-location management experience leading high performing and diverse teams;

· Demonstrated ability to be data driven and use metrics to drive productivity (high fluency in MS Office, particularly Excel, a must);

· An analytical, detailed oriented mindset with the ability to manage diverse, time-sensitive requirements and to be solutions focused;

· Strong Communication (presentation, verbal);

· Customer-first, positive, upbeat mind-set;

· The ability to work well in a team and dynamic environment;

· Motivation to work with a long-term commitment within a family-owned company.
