About Kambo Energy Group
Kambo Energy Group is an equity-based social enterprise that designs and delivers solutions to reduce energy poverty and improve housing to communities often missed. We work with Indigenous Nations, lower income households, immigrants, and newcomers. Empower Me and Community Power operate as divisions of Kambo Energy Group. Across all of our divisions and programs, we put people at the center, equipping and empowering them to make smart, safe, affordable energy choices.
Empower Me
Empower Me is Canada’s only multi-award-winning energy conservation and education change program designed for and delivered by members of diverse, multilingual, and hard to reach communities. Partnering with utilities, municipalities, and the private sector – in the provinces of BC, Alberta, and now Seattle – Empower Me provides culturally appropriate support and climate programming designed specifically for immigrants, refugees, people of color and newcomer communities. Empower Me bridges the gap of other programs, and ensures participants are empowered to understand how their home ‘works’, how to read their energy bills so they can save energy, save money, and increase the comfort and safety of their homes.
